Real Madrid is arguably one of the biggest brands, and most successful clubs, in world football (yes, Manchester United fans, we’re afraid it’s true) and it seems that domination on the pitch is no longer enough. Los Blancos recently announced their plans to build a luxury island resort in RAK complete with a stadium for up to 10,000 fans.
With a projected opening date of January 2015 we hear that the resort will also feature a Real Madrid museum, theme park and an array of sports facilities – all to be built on an artificial island. Fans will also reportedly be able to literally eat, breathe and sleep football as there is talk of a five star hotel, beachside bungalows and hologram shows that replay some of the club’s most historically remembered feats.
